Atalia took this great picture of the bridge with her cellphone. Isn’t is GORGEOUS?
Sunday morning, Mary raced in the “Bay to Breakers” marathon.
It was CRAZY! lol
Most of the racers in this thing rang either NAKED (!!) or in costume.
It was AWESOME! lol
If you want to see pics of the race & the craziness, search Google images!
Here are some left-over stragglers that were wearing diapers. lol
Later that evening, we made our way to Alcatraz.
It was FREEZING!!! But totally worth it!
This is another place that fascinated me!
One of the holes that was dug out for the “escape from Alcatraz”
The maintenance hall behind the cells where the holes were dug.
The prisoners escaped from their cells through the holes down on the bottom right
& then shimmied up these pipes to the roof.
Stairs leading to the hospital
Do you see the orb right in the middle of the picture?
I even had Atalia verify that this place wasn’t dusty. ;)
Here’s another one in front of the counter.
“Birdman” Stroud’s cell. Look at all the orbs!
Where the prisoners were handcuffed on arrival to await processing.
It wasn’t very exciting to look inside of surprisingly…

Trying to get up & moving on the second day was rough!
We were all so exhausted & Atalia even got a leg cramp that wouldn’t go away. lol
Mary was looking like I was feeling… TIRED!
We made our way over to Boudin’s for lunch. Their sourdough bread is AWESOME.
I had grilled cheese & tomato soup… Y-U-M!
After lunch, we made our way to San Jose to visit the Winchester Mystery House.
Have you seen this place on tv???
SO freaking cool!
Not only was all of the doors that go to nowhere and what-not very interesting,
but I truly loved seeing the old building and architecture!
That was actually my favorite thing about this whole trip…
the old architecture and all of the gorgeous houses & buildings.
I can sit and stare in awe at these buildings for days.
We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside of the house, which was disappointing. :(
After San Jose, we made our way back to the city & did some sightseeing.
Here’s the Full House Street
aka “Postcard Row” aka “The Painted Ladies”
Later, it was party time at Joe’s Crab Shack!
